Half days = very little learning and a lot of hassle for those of us who need after school care for younger kids.

I’m wondering how big of a deal it will be for our middle schooler to miss the two half days. I guess I’m worried about unexcused absences and missed work/not being able to make it up because of the unexcused absences. Am I overthinking it?

When else would you like the two half days for parent conferences? Or are you the type who wouldn’t come anyway and just use the time for a 4 day weekend?
MCPS used to do conferences the beginning of November including Veterans Day.
