I told my close family (parents/in-laws/siblings) pretty much immediately after the initial ultrasound. I would have also told them if I miscarried.

If you are worried about your sister being upset because you are staying the limelight, need to tell everyone before you sister gives birth.

Definitely wait - you can still lose a genetically normal pregnancy past 12 weeks. Ask me how I know....

My sister got pregnant w her second while I was pregnant with my first. Not a big deal AT ALL and I’m thrilled that my kid and her kid are so close.

Outshine? You are just saying what’s happening. Maybe don’t announce it at her baby shower or at her delivery. But literally any other time is appropriate.

+1 Tell your sister. Honestly, I would tell her now. That way she has time to process it before she is tired from her pregnancy and labor, and helping her little family adjust to the new addition.
