Batya Gur is one of my favorite authors. Each one of the early books in her mystery series focuses on a different, relatively closed community, with its own culture and often unspoken rules. The Literary Murder — a Critical Case is the second book in the series.

I didn’t love it, but the author actually wrote poems in ancient Greek for this book, which very much impressed me. It highlights the backstabbing competition that academia can be!
