Potomac school is the best, bar none. It has the best facility of all schools in the DMV, IMHO.

Uh, no.

Potomac football field has no lights, seating is barely sufficient and most people have to sit on a grassy field.

I’d prefer facilities at Bullis, Landon (especially after new build), GPrep, and Sidwell.

Potomac has a brand new expensive facility, built in 2020, right next to the tennis court.

I understand that but one nice building is just part of the entire assessment. The same thing inside that building can be found at other schools (maybe in 2 buildings) but they still have that and other facilities like really nice soccer/football stadium).

I think it is best to look at the physical attributes of a school- such a football field lighting- when making a decision on what is the best fit for your child.

Your school must be a mess if you're impressed with FH.

If you consider Maret a mess since that’s who Flint Hill just played

PP, agreed it was a good game.

LOL at the other poster saying 'your school must be a mess', because while I am guessing that the PP has been to neither school and just likes to stir the pot, she probably has nice things to say about your school because it's not in VA.

So much divisive language on this board. For no reason. Does it make you feel better to take cheap shots at someone else's school, PP? If so, you leave a very bitter, sad life.

Our school is a “top 5” I guess. But kids and families leave a strong impression on me and the interactions I had with both were very pleasant. The kids/fans were nice and respectful despite it being a very tight game. And yes, our facilities are not the greatest so I thought FH was a beautiful campus with great fields.

Lots of great teachers in the middle school in all disciplines (most of them have been there for some time, I think they have less turnover there than the upper school), and a good division head who's been there 20 years. About 100 kids per grade, class sizes generally in the high teens.

The high school building even looks like a public school. The campus doesn't even compare to the other private schools.

We also found the campus to be much less impressive than the other schools our DC is considering.
