There’s an ocean (salty pun intended) separating a high sodium diet and not cooking with salt at all.
Count me in the camp who says cook him separate side dishes (steamed vegetables sound like his best bet if he’s to avoid too much sodium and fat) with some turkey breast as the main.


This... plus Thanksgiving is literally centered around food, for better or worse. Even my most health conscious relatives generally make a lot of exceptions on holidays so to have totally bland, unsalted food for everyone would be a let down. Now if you just enjoy unsalted food that's awesome for you. Personally my cardiologist has recommended I eat more salt due to a health issue that worsens on a low sodium diet.
