Marylanders drive to Virginia and commit crimes all the time. This proves that expressways are the crime expressway to Virginia.

It's pretty clear from all the news stories, crime reports, etc. that people from DC/MD cross into VA with more frequency to commit crimes not the other way around but whatever, PP.
