I love how proponents of super size schools always taught the depth of obscure clubs available and skirt around the impact of academics, administration, and discipline at an unmanageably large school.
Clearly you know nothing about Blair.
Why you even commented?
Exactly, so many clueless people. The SAT average for the largest cohort common to Blair and any W's shows that Blair scores higher, and they're not even Asians so you can't tell me that its because of the magnet.

Stop pretending that high achieving is a large cohort at Blair, the common cohort represents like 100 kids at Blair and the majority of the kids at the other schools you mentioned while glossing over the best high schools in the county Whitman & Poolesville. If that common cohort is so prevalent to define the school why are their score school wide among the lower of the county even with the magnet inserted specifically to boost scores and perception?
Facts don't lie. The bottom line is when we do a nuanced apples to apples comparison discounting demographic differences Blair wins.
True, Blair's average SAT for the largest demographic to Blair and any W is higher at Blair, and although the haters will say its the magnet, there are few magnet kids in this demographic. It's clear that Blair simply provides an outstanding education for anyone who wants it.
There are lots of DCC kids in the math/science magnet.

one lunch now
I toured Blair 20 years ago with a group of teachers. They told us that the last person coming through the lunch line had 8 min to eat and get to their next class. OP we were overwhelmed too!
Does Blair have an open lunch now?
When I was at Blair at the old location on Wayne Ave, we had open lunches and I believe it was 45 minutes and sometimes went home.
Ever since they moved to the current location, it has been close lunch.
It's worth noting that every moco high school except Einstein and Wheaton, I think? Is located on the side of a six lane road with a speed limit of 35-40mph. Most sane people would consider that a problem, but y'all love your SUVs.

When my oldest was there, they took half-dozen magnet classes in their Junior and Senior years because they were really into STEM and did great. They graduated with around 4 or 5's on a dozen APs. They got into a T20 school and felt Blair prepared them to do well in college.
The school serves a community with lesser resources well. It is easier to produce good results in a school that serves higher income families. Translation: Blair is punching way above its weight!

Do you mean “tout”? If you’re going to diss a school, make sure you’re sounding educated yourself.
Excellent response, you really drilled into the heart of the matter with your commentary.
