means you slow down and verify it is safe to proceed. In any event, car drivers fight tooth and nail against changes intended to make driving safer. And I still don’t laugh when they crash. I call 911.


It's amazing how people are so ignorant about the Idaho Stop. All it means is you don't need to come to a dead stop and put your feet down. Any decent cyclist can slow to 1 mph while still in/on the pedals.

The issue is that neither slowed down to yield. Had they done that, one or both riders would’ve avoided the accident.

The mom on the cargo bike probably had battery power. Those things have A LOT of mass + the battery ups their speed. They can cause devastating crashed with bad injuries.

It doesn't make it legal to ignore a stop sign. It makes it legal to treat them as yield signs. Which, in this case, would have required each of them to slow and one of them to yield way.

Car drivers constantly complain about stop signs, speed bumps, and anything else that slows them down. I still don’t find car accidents to be funny

Second, I never said anything about anyone getting hurt, because apparently no one did, since they immediately started yelling at each other, then went their separate ways about 30 seconds later after a couple of the kids getting out of SF started laughing and recording them on their phones.

That happens several times a year right by my house. And add someone who bikes mostly I always go to help out, check on them, call an ambulance if needed. There are some sick people on this thread.
