The worst is the scoliosis screenings we had to do as kids. Thank goodness those don’t happen any more! My kids get regular checkups (and both already have glasses) so I decline all school screenings.

Yup. You cracked the code. Only poor kids ever have medical issues. MC/UMC kids all have private physicians at their beck and call, with doting, attentive parents. Yet we include them as part of this ELABORATE ruse.

Believe it or not, parents medically neglect their kids at all SES levels, or are in denial that there is an issue. “He just doesn’t listen, he gets distracted.” Nope—he couldn’t hear everything
