I’d KISS and do the same two things - chicken tenders one night and loaded pasta salad the other (pp has good suggestions)- those were our go-to dinner at the pool meals and they worked well.

When do your kids do HW if they are practicing from 3-10? Most of my teens’ HW is online and the car isn’t a reliable connection.

We do a lot of burritos, turkey subs, calzones. A thermos of pizza poppers. Bento boxes of carrots, grapes, cashews, hummus, pita.

I do loaded pasta salads. All can be made ahead, stored in the fridge for a day or two, and brought along for easy eating on the go.

Orzo with shredded chicken, chickpeas, artichoke hearts, spinach, Parmesan, and a lemon dressing.

Pasta shells with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil, salami, olive oil and balsamic.

Penne with bacon, chopped tomatoes, and lettuce (BLT pasta).

I would do chicken nuggets or tenders once a week to be honest. With raw veggies and fruit.

It’s not just sports. It’s scouts, dance, music, etc. it starts in late elementary.
