Anyone recommend a medical practice that does weight loss with newer drugs, nutrition, behavioral therapy all in one? I need to change my lifestyle and eating habits, but I realize I cannot do it on my own anymore. I know there are diet programs, and I did one. But the therapy and help was minimal, it was all about buying their products and a drug. I want to use the new drugs, but I need therapy etc to go with it. I would consider surgery, but too many horror stories about complications after a couple years. And, with the surgery you don’t eat anything hardly, that is why every one loses weight.
Therapy is important. For food, just eliminate all carbs.

Based on your results, your PCP may refer you to an endocrinologist, nutritionist, or bariatrician. Please go the safe route, not the easy route.*

Speaking of DCUMs grotesquely ignorant…
I posted it… not ignorant and likely more educated than you and with much more experience. I’m diabetic and lost 100 pounds and returned to completely normal glucose levels eliminating all carbs.
Come back to us after you have maintained a carb-free diet for over five years. Unless you are one of DCUMs suspiciously unique medical miracles that manage to maintain long term weight loss with carb-free diets that are somehow never actually found in any clinical studies. DCUM is amazing that way in the number of medical miracles that post here.
I’m on 8 years of below 20 carbs a day, actually, and 3 years at near zero…. So that’s already done
Sure, as expected DCUM is full of medical outliers who somehow don’t make appearances in actual studies. I mean that’s expected of any discussion about weight on DCUM.
No outliers… multiple clinical trials with longterm good results prove mine is actually a normal outcome.

Eric Westman's work at Duke suggests otherwise.
