We don’t vote by party in the US. If you want that, move to the UK or another country with a parliamentary system.
Peltola got the most votes. Just like Eric Adams in NYC. Deal with it.

Yes, Alaskans voted for the system. Listen at around the ~1min mark, Palin claims they won in June before the ranked process was used. She had warned people to not comply with the ranking system.
The election in June was the primary. Does she not understand that?

It’s important to know that in Alaska the Native corporations have significant political heft. That’s part of the reason Don Young lasted for a million years. He had a Native wife and had deep appreciating and understanding for the trivial self-governance system so always had their support.

+1 Al Gross who ran as an independent endorsed by Democrats for the Senate in 2020 was also in this race, but dropped out when it was clear she had a chance.

They already had a top four primary for the November election the same day as the special election. Peltola, Palin and Begich (who is a Republican but the grandson of Alaska’s last D House member) will all be on the ballot again along with one other minor Republican.
So will the November election be plurality wins, or ranked choice again?
Ranked choice again. All Alaska elections will work like this according to a statewide referendum in 2020.
