This would be a no for me.

I would be ok with it. I wouldn’t want my baby in a swing or bouncer fit more than a few minutes while awake. Sleeping is fine with me.

This is just me but I wouldn't care, as long as they are in the same room with the providers and being supervised. I let my baby sleep in a bouncer regularly (and she slept fine in the crib, too -- I just followed the "never wake a sleeping baby" maxim). I was always within sight and nothing ever happened. I wouldn't worry about the container baby thing either. That is overblown IMO

Nope, this is a thing. Plagiocephaly (flat head) is a huge issue with babies kept in containers too long. My friend who mothers by keeping her babies constantly in swings and car seats had this with all her kids. Spent a fortune on helmets when she just needed to get them out of their container.

My older DD is almost 10. She used to nap in the swing at home and loved going in the bouncer at daycare (but didn’t nap there). I was surprised when she was 2.5 and we moved from DC to CA not to see swings or bouncers in any of our preferred daycares. When I asked about it, it turns out it’s not allowed in CA. With our second, who hated swings, it was a non-issue anyway.

It’s really somewhere in the middle. Excessive time in these containers isn’t great, but a little time is fine. It seems very fussy to me to expect a daycare not to use them at all (not for sleep though!) when they will definitely have infants and children outnumber caregivers. Safety is important but you can’t make their jobs impossible.
