Jennie Garth also just came to mind!

Jennie Garth has the full name of Jennifer.

There’s also Jennie Eisenhower

Go with what you love!
Signed another Kate (not Katherine or Kathleen, with no complaints about my name)

Jennie is perfect.

Don’t listen to naysayers.

Jennie Garth has the full name of Jennifer.

Does it really matter, though, if no one uses it/knows her by that name?

I don’t like the spelling but it’s fine as a standalone name.

How about Ginny?

Or maybe Penny?

Both Ginny and Penny are nicknames (Genevieve, Ginerva, Penelope etc.)

I would just name her Jennie if that's the name you like. It's a different name than Jennifer/Jenny.
