NP here. Why would you even ask that question? How does it possibly have any relevance?
Np
I am curious too and it is relevant otherwise op wouldn’t have mentioned it.
NP. Not relevant at all. Stick to the topic.
Her having twin is in the topic, very relevant. -dp

Anonymous wrote:In your shoes, I would definitely get two nannies to cover all seven days of the week. It could only be a benefit to you since you have no other help and a DH who travels. You need another pair of hands to keep both babies calm and secure. And then there’s the needs of your older little ones.
I have twins with no other children and had my mother, a nanny, and a very involved non-traveling DH and we were all always busy during the first six months. It may have been easier if I formula fed the babies but I breastfed. And twins are generally small so feedings were every two hours around the clock. An extra set of arms to comfort and burp one baby while I continued to feed my slower eater was vital. Plus having someone to make meals for me and let me sleep a bit.
One more piece of advice, OP: only take advise from mothers of twins. No one else has a fricking clue.

My older child will be in kindergarten until 2:30 and 3 yr old will be in preschool until noon. I really want to have time to individually spend with all of my kids. I have no intention of handing them over and want a nanny to work along side me.
How do I structure this? Will I need two nannies? We have a housekeeper so this is just about childcare. I feel overwhelmed!!
You have a housekeeper and, apparently, can afford to hire two nannies. Why are you overwhelmed?

Well, OP? Do you have $120K or so extra to get this 7 day a week child care? If so, great, but most mothers do not, especially SAHMs.

Second, I have a friend who has three kids under five and she found two nannies who work in partnership - one nanny does four days and the other does three days. If one is sick or takes time off, the other covers for her. My friend found them through an agency. She’s also a SAHM but does volunteer work for her non-profit.
Good luck, OP!
