In high school, one boy not known for being the most athletic ran a 3:20 marathon.
My rising junior soccer player just did a 10:30 2 mile around the track at tryouts after already playing over an hour of hard soccer. His Freshmen brother wasn’t that much farther behind.
They don’t “run” or jog. Just train/hiit/sprint.
I told them to quit soccer abs if they actually trained as a runner they could do very well in track.
