I used to think about my first real love quite often but I’m glad she “got away”. She ended up having a tough life and passing away two years ago.

I’m a woman. In the very early years, way more than now…I think it was a panic about the finality of marriage and would find myself suddenly doubting the relationship whenever my husband - the person who I’d just committed myself to for LIFE 😱 - did or said something that really bothered me. We’ve been married 10 years and it’s now more like…once every 8-10 months, and more just in a hm, wonder what ever happened to him / interesting to think about how my life would/could have been totally different (and, in most aspects, not in a good way).
There were some days in the very early years where it would have been scary to run into him, but over time I’ve fallen more and more in love with my husband and the life we’ve built (and feel completely unconnected to my ex, although I don’t think it’s weird to occasionally reminisce about the intensity of what we had back when I was young and carefree )

Several times a year. Not sure we would have made it long term but the passion and sex were amazing. Love DH but I felt so alive with that ex.

I have great memories of hot sex, but no regret about the one the got away in terms of marriage. I am more concerned about the temptation that is all around me now.
