Probably. But a used Honda is very desirable and a lot of responses could very well have been legit. Where I am old Hondas & Subarus are huge with the latino community. I'd rather let it go that way. At least it would be going to a direct user who NEEDS a car.

Sure. You can just sell a used car to a dealer if you want, without buying a new one at all. It's dumb, because they will underpay you, but you can do it.

I posted earlier about Carmax. My dealer offered me $100 and Carmax offered $1000. I would donated it before taking 100 from the dealer.

I have a really gross 13 year old car that we're about to replace and honestly i couldn't sell it to anyone. water got into it and there is mold, the brakes need to be replaced, needs new tires. it's in terrible shape. would carmax even take a car like this? they wouldn't be able to resell it unless it was fully detailed.

If you’re looking to buy another car and just want to get rid of the current car, just trade it in at the dealership. They won’t give you as much as a private party, of course, but they take care of all the legal/title issues and it’s really easy. We got $800 from the dealership for my husbands old junker from, literally, the Clinton administration, and that was in 2018 before the used car market took off.

DH just got $1000 trade in value from the dealership for a 2004, high mileage car with several problems, so I think you could get more than that.

The used car market is crazy right now. We bought my MIL a used Ford Focus four years ago when my FIL died. Now she’s ready to stop driving and we will get just about the same money selling it as we bought it for.
