I used to and I loved it.

Now, a lack of mobility and energy often bets in the way, and it doesn't get done.

Once in a while, I'm just pooped and leave it to the morning. But overwhelmingly, no dishes are left in the sink, counters/table/sink area is wiped down.

And I'm with you - I unpack a suitcase when I get home. It MAY wait until the next day, but that is the absolute max. There's a place for everything and everything needs to go back in its place. Plus laundry, of course.

This is me too. Husband is the opposite!

Yes, I always clean the kitchen before bed. I've tried it both ways and I found that there is nothing worse than waking up and walking into a filthy kitchen. Sometimes I get lazy about wiping the stove (DH likes to cook and makes a mess of it), but if at all possible, I'll get the dishes into the dishwasher, hand wash the things that need it, and take out the trash (not including DH, he can stay).

Me too!! I always to the dishes. Every night. I have to wake up to a clean house. If we have a party then I'll finish the wine while I clean. It a little guilty pleasure. I actually look forward to it.

I prefer to wait until the next morning. As an introvert, I am usually super tired and just want to go to bed. I find I can get the whole thing cleaned up super fast in the am while the coffee is brewing!

I almost always tidy up a bit, but my husband always cleans everything, wipes the counters and wipes out and dries the sinks.

He’s a night owl and I’m an early bird. I love coming down to a clean kitchen every morning.

I always do. It feels great to wake up to a clean kitchen.

I make my bed every day but the rest of the house is often questionable. I tidy often but also allow for imperfect housekeeping days.

Nope. But I generally stay on top of it.

We usually have 2 dishwasher loads- so load one goes in and runs while we sleep. The rest of the items are rinsed and stacked on counter so load 2 goes into DW in the morning. put everything in DW- wine glasses, china, etc. We do most before going to bed but don't sweat it if a bit of a mess.

Yes! My DH will even start when guests are still here.

I have a suitcase sitting on my bedroom floor. We got back a week ago. Thanks for the reminder. That shows me I have too many clothes since I don’t need anything in it.

As for the kitchen, I always clean up before bed. The exception would be if the dishwasher is running and something is purposely left to soak in the sink overnight.
