I also have my grandmother’s China so we probably used the Athena about 10 times in 20 years. Some of it is still in its original wrapping.


I love this pattern. Looks very elegant.

Pp, from my other grandma I inherited a beautiful blue and white set, Blue Danube which I love the pattern, it reminds me of the Royal Copenhagen (that I lust after) but with a vintage twist.

We have our own wedding china pattern that’s modern, Lenox, with a raised pearl border, but I think my favorites are all blue and white florals, and the more unique patterns which scream “I have impractical style”

I inherited all of my grandma’s Spode Christmas china, my cousins thought I was crazy that it was the only thing I asked for - and it’s just beyond fun to host with, but we also just use as everyday plates from thanksgiving through New Years.
