+1. I thought the first one was garbage movie. I just don’t get some ppl. I don’t care what skin color actors have. I just want to watch GOOD movies.
Thank you white person. Unfortunately, my black children don’t get to see people like them throughout movies that isn’t a slave movie so we will support.

There is no main character. The villain was the best part of the entire movie. The whole movie is focused around Chadwick’s death (not really a superhero movie…). There were no powerful fight scenes.
Shuri was the main character. Maybe you meant there was no main male character?
Shuri and the others are all sideline characters. They don’t have a story.
It was Shuri’s story. She has some strong support but it was her journey through grief and to discover herself.
She wasn't very likable. The scientist was adorable. Queen Mother, fierce. The General, etc. Everyone had strong footing and personality. Shuri was bland.

Marvel is ENTIRELY over-rated. Every single movie is awful. Not just this particular pair of movies. So I'm not going to apply more rigorous standards to Black hero Marvel movies than to the other terrible Marvel movies. That would be racist, and similar to people who describe female politicians as shrill or mean without bothering to notice their inherent misogyny.

See, I would argue Shuri, Nakia, Okoye, and the Queen are ALL main characters...watching their adjustment and their grief...and the different parts of the Black Panther manifesting in all of them...wow.
Also, I think a superhero movie is mostly as good as its villain and this guy was great.
The movie definitely had some plot holes and some slow parts, but overall, two thumbs up.
