The whole family loved it. I cried at least twice. Loved the tributes to Chadwick Boseman. We all loved how well done the Mesoamerican backstory/new villain was. Director Ryan Coogler is a master at complicating the villain, so that you're also rooting for him.

Shuri and the others are all sideline characters. They don’t have a story.
It was Shuri’s story. She has some strong support but it was her journey through grief and to discover herself.
She wasn't very likable. The scientist was adorable. Queen Mother, fierce. The General, etc. Everyone had strong footing and personality. Shuri was bland.
She went through ugly times. I appreciated the realism. More powerful than plastic personality.

See, I would argue Shuri, Nakia, Okoye, and the Queen are ALL main characters...watching their adjustment and their grief...and the different parts of the Black Panther manifesting in all of them...wow.
Also, I think a superhero movie is mostly as good as its villain and this guy was great.
The movie definitely had some plot holes and some slow parts, but overall, two thumbs up.
Iron heart was horrible. All the women are butch, no softness in any of them. The death of the mom could have been way better but couldn’t because we still need to focus on Black Panthers death. The only time that people clapped in the movie theatre was when Michael b Jordan appeared (and rightfully so).
