The know alls on this thread are unbelievable. It is possible for someone to have thought through all the issues outside the question that people feel the need to raise. The condescension from all the. posters offering their advice outside the question is really annoying. I feel for OP.
You could offer your advice for others, and note it is not for OP. But no, you have to presume in your responses that the OP is an idiot who has not considered the possibility that students change majors. The presumption that OP is a bumpkin that has not thought of these ideas is what is so annoying. It is not that the advice is bad, it is just not asked for or necessary in this case and the tone is frankly rude.
DP: I conversely find OP rude. This is a free discussion board comprised of people with opinions and experiences not a narrow-question answering device. Ask a question and people are going to answer on relevant topics. When people start suggesting schools that would be weak for anything but health sciences, it's going to generate reminders from others that you don't want to choose a school solely on a major, especially pre-med, because the majority of intended majors don't finish. In my view, an OP who has solicited advice will take what's worthwhile to them and not comment on the rest unless it was deliberately insulting.
