That might work if all kids eat in the cafeteria. Last year we had to do lunch in classrooms every other week. I lost lunch time waiting for my kids to go to the line and walk them back to my classroom.


Why on earth would kids not be back in the cafeteria this yeae?

Yeah. All the kids ate in Cafeteria. We only have 600 kids.

Maybe good for younger retirees?


It is good for some people and if it relieves Teachers of having to cover recess or other activities or have some coverage for classes when Teachers have to be in a meeting, then great. It sounds like a way to get coverage that doesn't cause Teachers to lose their planning periods and other time during the school day. Hopefully it works for enough people that they can have a good number of monitors and Teachers can get back some of the time that they lost.

Honestly, it doesn't matter who it is a good fit for if it works. I am not going to judge someone who thinks that it is a good way to pick up some extra money while being able to stay home with their kids. I don't understand why other people think that it is their place to be judging what works for individuals. I wouldn't sneeze at making an extra $2000 a month if I was at home with my kid. I can see how that money would come in handy and how the position would be convenient.

Yeah recess is not an option. There would be no time to actually get anything done.
