I'm sorry to hear that. How long did it take to get rid of it?

Any tips to overcome this phobia would be appreciated.

Psilocybin, seriously. Check out the studies being done. There is a good Michael Pollan book and Netflix series, How to Change your Mind

Thanks for the rec. PP, are you a med professional? Casual "shroom" user?

Same here, but that's just because I always feel greasy and grimy after flying. Not because I'm afraid of germs.

I do not. But I am an elementary school teacher and my workplace is probably just as gross as the bus. Kids definitely don’t was their hands appropriately. I take a shower a day after my workout.

No.

Do you have OCD?

I used the bus twice a day when I commuted to UMD. I just took my evening shower as usual.
Also, I'm a microbiologist, and know a bit about bacteria and viruses.

Still the one shower, OP

This is a weird question. What if the bus is rarely or never disinfected and people with diseases who never shower, often spit and cough, and lie down on the streets ride the bus frequently?

You should shower daily, OP, not just on the days you take the bus. Very weird post.

I shower at the end of the day, I don’t shower every time I get off public transportation. I take the train to work. Yeah, public spaces can be gross but we’ve got to live our lives. The world is covered in germs.
