This “boycott stuff” actually works. It’s free market feedback and voting with our dollars. And it worked with Chick-fil-A too (see PP’s link from their walk back)
Chick-fil-A isn’t hurting for businesses because a few people boycott them over their personally held beliefs. The place is closed on Sunday for crying out loud, they play Christian music in some stores, and there’s still a line around the building everyday from open until close. Most people overlook any differences they may have and go there for the good food, and quick and polite service. They also give back to local schools and communities and give employee scholarships more than any private company I’ve seen.
That LGBTQ person with a chip on their shoulder thinks they’re hurting Chick-fil-A business but really are just missing out on some yummy chicken biscuits and delicious peach milkshakes. They can boycott till the cows come home, that’s the free market like you said, but Chick-fil-A is doing just fine without them.
I have to wonder if the PP also boycotts Amish and Mennonite markets as well or if they don’t buy vegetables from farmers with Christian beliefs? At what point do you stop eating food to prove a point?

When I looked up the bio of his regional admissions officer, I noticed that the AO openly listed his orientation as gay. So I think I had cause to be concerned given my DC’s application will get a longer look due to his legacy status.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Sorry but it’s a stupid question. As an admissions advisor I’d much rather see Chick-fil-A than McDonalds or Only Fans. At least Chick-fil-A people are friendly and know how to count change and aren’t blatantly strung out on drugs when they go to work. Chick-filA has higher standards for hiring than most entry level jobs. That you would even ask this question makes you ridiculous or a crappy troll attempt. My guess is the latter.

Will Chick-Fil-A’s reputation as ant-LBGTQ make the job a liability for my son? The job was hard to get,and I’d like him to work there.
