Underneath the shiny exterior he’s got a full agenda to drive our society back to dark ages.

+1, though I would argue that part of the problem was that Dems nominated a similarly craven and slimy candidate to run against him, to predictable results.

Independent/swing voters don't mind when Republicans are like this, they view it as part of the deal. But it feels hypocritical when Democrats do it, especially now. It's not fair, but it is what it is. We can't run guys like McAuliff against the GOP, no matter how many friends they have in high places in the DNC or among former Clinton/Obama White House alums. The party needs better leadership who is willing to say "no, we need candidates who can deliver our message effectively."

But wow Youngkin sucks. I cannot believe people voted for this idiot.

This is so spot on. People have a double standard. It's complete idiocy, but then, people are generally idiots. I love many of these idiots, sometimes I'm an idiot. Let's face it, we're all idiiots. Sigh.

I don't want Youngkin in a position to get everything he wants, but he's a useful tool to force the liars and panderers from the other party to exercise at least some restraint.

Lying to encourage less lying?

That’s some faulty logic there, bub.
