Its a trait needed for survival of human species. Women naturally bring sex, birthing and nesting abilities to the table, more so if they are educated and employed. Men need to bring more than sperms.

There is a big difference between wanting a wealthy/well-off man and a stable man. Men make the same calculus when choosing a partner.

Most people, men or women, go after things valuable to them, money, achievement, looks, fame, education etc. Its not like successful men go after average looking Jane who is a college dropout waitresses living in trailer parks.

Exactly. Women are expected to be reasonably good-looking and healthy and to have children and care for them and the home for centuries. This is actual work and responsibility. We used to take pride in this just like a job. Why should you be a nothing and someone decides that YOU are the one they should spend their life with and have offspring with? It makes no sense. Men value their jobs too much and disvalue work that is unpaid. If men like this person started seeing all the work in this world they would stop whining about the fact that women and children need money to live on and they would value it as a contribution they make and they would likely find someone who both valued the money and the person. When you start objectifying yourself you end up objectifying others as well.

Yes. Millions of us are married to men who make far less money than we do, and/or whose social status is lower on the social classes scale.

Money aside, I think it's difficult if not impossible to love men as they want to be loved - unconditionally and always the first priority. They want to be loved as a child is loved, and very few if any women can (or want to) do that.

I’ve never known a single man like that. Not one. Even very ugly and fat men I have known who have good personalities and decent careers managed to land girlfriends. If a man couldn’t find any girlfriend at all it’s because he wasn’t great or perfectly normal.
