4th, 7th and 11th.

Just pick anything in the Wilson pyramid and you'll be fine.

Stoddert/Hardy/Wilson

OA is the only one worth it.

Not sure. Maybe OP thinks if you buy your way into a school it's somehow more meritorious than if you test or lottery your way into it?

School choice the all-American way.

What a ridiculous post. How could you possibly have enough real information about so many schools to rank them with such precision?

Hahahhaha, so basically a list of the whitest schools in DC (in that order too?).

Parcc scores for 2019 (english):

Ross Elementary School
Janney Elementary School
Mann Elementary School
Lafayette Elementary School
Stoddert Elementary School

If you look at math scores:
Stoddert Elementary School
Janney Elementary School
Lafayette Elementary School
Key Elementary School
Ross Elementary School

Hot Takes: If you control for wealth, of the NW schools, I think Stoddert/Ross do the best. (though the embassy staff kids at Stoddert throws some noise into that) In raw scores, Janney. Hearst/Murch are the biggest underpreformers considering parental wealth/resources.

Then again if you compare peer to peer I believe Shepherd ranks higher than all these school listed. But it was conveniently left off the “best ranking” list by PP.

You need to look at the schools yourself and see what they offer and if it matches up with what you are looking for, provides the type of learning environment that is suited for your child, and has offerings (classes, clubs, extracurriculars, sports, college partnerships, vocational offerings, etc) that coincide with your child needs, wants, and personality. There is no right answer to the question of what is the "best" school, the best school is hte one that provides the environment that allows your child to thrive and succeed. Start by figuring out what type of school would suit your child and then find the one that is hte best match.

I have two kids, one went to Banneker and one went to Wilson. Two completely different schools in many ways. Both kids thrived because the environment was suited to them, not because someone else decided it was the "best".

No but people do move for jobs and need to enroll kids somewhere. They may not want lottery and rat race, just a good area to live with access to reasonably decent schools.

Boosting is the greatest
Try it out and soon you'll know
Messaging is critical
To help enrollment grow.

So take a look at Langley,
If you call DC your home.
There's room for OOB kids, and
I'm glad you like my poem!

Langley Elementary!
The best school in this town!
Congrats to 5th grade graduates,
You earned that cap and gown!

Field Day is super happy
With our school family
Where Tigers play with tug of war,
Parachute and Foamboree.

Our kids, they are the sweetest
With social skills galore.
They frolic on the playground and
In gyms with hardwood floors!

Our PTO is small but mighty
They plan the funnest Fest
Fundraising tenaciously
For books and all the rest.

A brand new elevator
Takes kids from floor to floor
We're thrilled with this improvement
But wait-- there's even more!

Down by the cafeteria
Our new bathroom shines so bright
It's freshly renovated
To everyone's delight.

The auction was at MetroBar
Karaoke for the win!
Teachers, kids and families
Sang songs from Hamilton.

We wish you a fun summer
We hope you have a ball!
School year prep is starting now,
We'll see you in the fall!

This is the highlight of DCUM today
