Our kids go to a bilingual school and we speak Spanish at home but they are not fluent 100%. We’re actually moving to Lafayette and I was hopeful on continuing the Spanish. I am bummed to hear this. Looks like I’ll need to find somewhere else to supplement.

Our upper NW school had budget for a Spanish teacher and decided to concentrate it in PK - Grade1, so those classes had Spanish a few times a week. Then kids can enroll in after school Spanish classes at the school if they want to continue, which seemed like an ok system. Unfortunately for my kids they didn’t get much (or really participate at all) during the online learning period so unfortunately not a lot of progress here! But I’m not sure if they will continue with Spanish given budget cuts. We shall see.
