at my kid's school (BCC High School) you have to scan in with drivers license and wear name tag.

FWIW - op here. I wrote to our principal who was unaware the newish front desk staff hadn't used the scanning license feature. This was the first time they've really had volunteers in the building since spring 2020.

Pps here who've posted concerns at other schools, may be worth reaching out. My principal seemed grateful I had let her know.

Open door policy. Students inside open the door and let people in all day long. Students are visiting each others schools in the county. Principals document this going on, but they can't control the number of students that freely hop on buses and visit other schools during the school day. Students in the schools let in people they see outside.


In order to even be a volunteer you first have to undergo a background check which you would know if you were really a volunteer.
