Sooooooo.... maybe try to avoid getting COVID.

You need help. You really do. It’s not good to live like this.

You need help given we are in a surge and you are still a Covid denier.

DP, whose son just had COVID - you really do have problems, PP. The data OVERWHELMINGLY show that COVID is mild for the vast majority of children. In kids who are vaccinated, even more so. You can find the random clickbait headlines all you want, but over two years in, we know this much is true.

OP, my son was nauseated for a few hours, and then with some gatorade and crackers, he was fine. Bounced off the walls for his entire isolation period. He's 8 and fully vaccinated.

Good for your DS. Now, just get a complete wellness check done along with a heart checkup. Too many young and old are dropping like ripe fruits all over the world.

ooooooooooo, please tell us where these mass graves of children are located. They must be everywhere according to the dire health consequences that the covidians keep telling us about.

+1.

You do realize that "long covid" is an American phenomenon, right? How come the rest of the world doesn't seem to be impacted by this, and why does it mysteriously plague middle age suburban women with gluten intolerances the hardest?

I love you, can we be friends?

Absolutely!

Yes, you are right. And because we are so unhealthy, COVID is whooping our asses even more.

Yep. Covid is spreading just like a virus does. I have 3 in my room confirmed with covid. I have another child who has been out all week with a fever and cough. But, I am missing 8/18 kids. One teacher on our team is out with covid and we have 4 of her kids and one more teacher went home sick today with stomach flu so we will have her kids, about 5, added to our class for the rest of the week. One parent has expressed concern because we are mixing kids and there is covid in our classes. We do not have subs so that is just the way it has to be.

Actually, it is happening all over the world. Worst part is that people are ending up with diabetes, kidney issues, IBS, brain fog, lungs issues and heart problem. Having said that, I do believe that sooner or later we all will get COVID. Make sure that you are in excellent health for your age, eat a good and healthy diet, manage stress, avoid pollutants, sleep well etc. - it might help you to fight it better.

OP asked about how kids are doing. That is the question people are answering. Try to keep up.

-an overweight 49 year old who had two days of sniffles with Covid last month.

okey-dokey. Get your heart check up done and bloodwork. Don't want to become complacent because of a milk COVID and then drop dead. 49 is a bit long in the tooth and you are overweight too.

No one cares what you are doing. The discussion is about spread in MCPS.

The discussion is about how kids are doing with Covid. The answer being that it's a big non-event.

You are not a child and the discussion is in the MCPS forum.

This makes no sense on so many levels. I'm not even sure you read the OP. I don't understand why so many of the Covid handwringers on this board have such issues with reading.

Thank you for providing honest facts. It's sad that so many of the right-wing extremists are allergic to this.

The only honest fact here is that these things are rare events. People post this crap like everyone who ever walked writhing 10 feet of someone with Covid will have diabetes, a brain that immediately shrinks, and a heart attack.
It’s so sad that you don’t understand that.

It's also sad that people think that examining evidence and probabilities is the land of "right wing extremists." Seriously, you make liberals look really anti-science.

My 15 y/o son just tested positive yesterday. He has a bad stuffy nose and slight cough. He says he doesn’t feel “great” but also says he doesn’t feel particularly bad, either. Fingers crossed it continues like this
