They are just symptoms of the problem, occupying different niche’s in the broken political dynamic that controls the city. There are two axes, Y=woke and Z=corrupt and everyone is represented. Allen is high woke and lower corrupt. Bowser moderately high corrupt and lower woke. Nadeau has somehow managed to be both high woke and high corrupt.

Structural racism and heavy-handed policing.

Actually, it’s not those people. It’s the people who think their smart because they were in a “gifted and talented” program at their suburban school district and then went on to graduate from Ohio State with a 3.4 GPA and somehow think they’re gods gist. Those are the people who make this area untenable. Too many of these glib, Peter Principle morons.

Democrats are terrible on education policy and crime.

These epic failures are not limited to D.C.

Bowser is a problem.

Serving one master is always a problem. Somebody has to pay.

Fenty did quite well post-mayor and has stayed out of trouble (as far as I know).

Fenty is the boy toy to Steve Jobs widow. He’s doing very well.

Cancer and it’s not just local.

Give me a break. You clearly don't live here. DC is no where near as progressive as other liberal cities.

There are certainly worst cities. Just like there are things worse than generic cancer.

Great defense. It's not AIDS. Just Herpes.

Agreed, followed by public schools. However, I don’t know if the schools are as much the issue as home educational, social and emotional support that bleeds into schools. I don’t know what one word would characterize that issue.

Are you fking kidding?

I’m from SE. you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Everything from our crazy tenant friendly rent control laws, and TOPA, to our Youth rehab act which protects violent felons up to age 26, to our weak on crime city council members, to…everything. We are a super super liberal city. Our gun laws are super strict. I actually like that, but to say we’re not that liberal reflects that you have clue what you’re talking about.

Absolutely. The citizens of LA are recalling their prosecutor for these same laws yet DC keeps doubling down. DC is quite on the extreme side of progressive politics in the US.

Only 1 mayor was indicted so stop it.
