1. Asking that everyone test
2. All wearing masks for the next ten days
3. Non-vaccinated kids must stay home and quarantine for five days. Vaccinated, asymptomatic kids can stay in school, masked. But again - see #1 - they asked everyone to test.
Sent home tests and N95 masks.
So a vaccinated kid that tests positive can keep coming to school as long they wear a mask? How are they enforcing what kind of mask and proper fit?
No 🙄
Than what does #3 mean? Vaccinated, asymptomatic kids can stay in school, masked“

This is not complicated. It means everyone should test their kid. If your kid is vaccinated and tests NEGATIVE, they return to school and mask. If they test positive, they stay home for the five day quarantine.
If your kid is not vaccinated, they stay home regardless of test results.

that’s pretty silly that they’re distinguishing between vaccinated/unvaccinated, given that the vaccine doesn’t strongly protect against transmissible infection.
Sure. But that’s been the MCPS policy all along.
I’ll be a conspiracy theorist and say that far-left MoCo has an interest in incentivizing vaccination, especially since - in general - those that are unvaccinated have parents who are least able to stay at home with them for the quarantine period.
