They don't except for people who sign up multiple times.

So a bunch of us who have only received texts once, for years and years, all signed up again in the last few months, well into the school year?

I’m guessing they know and just don’t care if half the school population unsubscribes from all communication.

"Debacle"? Nah. The MCPS education-industrial complex is tracking who complains about them and sending extra messages just to annoy them.

I tried reaching out to MCPS to get this stopped a few weeks ago. No one replied and now I’m getting even more texts and emails.

Given all the other things they need to fix, I guess it’s low priority but being spammed just pisses people off.

How is it possible that multiple people suddenly inadvertently signed up twice using the same cell number around the time of the racism survey? People who have had MCPS communications for years without significant issue suddenly signed up several more times without knowing it? To systems that are usually designed to remove duplicates? And if we did “ALL” sign up multiple times why aren’t we receiving a consistent number of messages? Why do they sometimes text twice and other times text three times and sometimes four? Surely they would send them for the number of times we signed up. Or perhaps you have no idea what you are talking about and are just a miserable human being looking for an argument.

It’s getting worse! Now even more times. Who do we contact to fix this? I don’t want to unsubscribe because I’d like to get important messages, just not multiple times. They must have lost a lot of subscribers.
