I would spend the effort on weight loss first. You will feel better on the inside and look better on the outside. I am like you and surprised by how much better I feel (happier and more energetic) since losing 10 lbs in the last 3 months.
Don't do this OP- life is short, don't things off. You can work on your weight for free starting now. Botox has nothing to do with your weight.
I've done it for years and it's worth every penny to me. Start small, what bothers you most? Crow's feet, 11's, forehead? You don't need to do everything.
And around my eyes I don't need much at all. For me 11's I need more units- your face is unique and we all age differently.
I'm not shy about asking questions just say you want to come in for a consult about Botox it will be free or a fee applied to treatment if you get something done. I've have spent anywhere from $150 to $500 depending on what I'm getting done. $500 was everything. $150 was last week- I am going through a dental issue and I have a huge smile. I had the nurse inject so your smile shows less gum and isn't quite as wide. That was just a few units , and I had my eyebrows lifted a tiny bit.
I go to the same person I've seen for years & I'm super honest with her and will say if I want to spend x amount and she'll suggest the best areas to maximize the effect.
Go. I don't know anyone who regrets it.

Getting botox one time won't turn you into Madonna or Ashley Judd. Botox is temporary - it lasts only about 12 weeks, and especially the first time you get it. If OP get it and she doesn't like it, she can just choose not to get it again, and it will fade.
Zero people do Botox just once, unless they really didn’t like it. Botox is a commitment and people go in knowing they’ll have to do it long term.

Ouch. I was thinking it would be more like $400. - op
I go to a med spa and have never paid more than $400 (forehead only).

Anonymous wrote:I tried it for the first time this month. So far, I don't like it. The effects are a bit uneven, so I can still raise my right brow but not my left. My left eye looks a little...mean? I don't know how to describe it, I just feel like my eyes are not as lively or as balanced as they were before.
It has done a great job of smoothing out the 11s, though.

It's temporary so no nerve damage, but literally thus is what it does. It blocks nerve signaling...
