First date. But DH and I had known each other for five years prior to first date. Married 15 years.

Geez. Why so sex negative? As long as everyone is safe and enjoying themselves then everything is fine. Women deserve to be able to explore their sexuality and learn what works for them so they can avoid marrying someone who they are not sexually compatible with. Np here. But it's actually you who are sex negative. If you've met anyone of this generation practicing the let's jump into sex thin they aren't exactly happy with it. That's because sex was never supposed to be a handshake. That's not to say you need to wait for marriage or that women should be restricted from exploring their sexuality or whatever nonsense you're spewing but we've tried the hook up culture thing for sometime now it's not working.

3rd date with all 3 boyfriends - last one I married. I would generally slept with guys I was dating for 1 of 2 reasons 1. We couldn’t resist each other and couldn’t make it past 3rd date without taking clothes off or 2. After about 5 dates because I wanted to see if there was enough chemistry and I really liked how compatible/good the man seemed - but with these, it always turned out to be bad sex or there was just something off with them. Do what feels right. You can also get tested for STDs and ask your date to before sex.
