I scoffed when I read this but after reading OP's posts, I've now concluded this is probably best. They are close to NoVa, aren't in the "tough" areas and are touristy. Sounds like it's what OP is looking for although good restaurants are REALLY hard to come by in those areas.
Stick with the mainstays - Rasika, Centrolina, etc.
My favs include: 7 reasons, rooster and Owl, and of course, Kinship.

Are you driving? Because St Anslem is a much better choice then. Also I love the Dabney, but you asked a specific question
and PP was so right to recommend S.A. over Dabney for it. Honestly though, please just stay in Virginia.
We would like t Uber/Lyft so we don’t have to worry about drinking, parking,etc. I didn’t respond to the PP recommending St. Anselm over Dabney, nor have I ruled I either out. Stop telling me to stay in VA!

Oh well, guess that means easier reservations at Masseria, St. Anselm, and Stellina, shorter lines at Pluma and Annare, better chance of nabbing a seat at Cotton + Reed, Suburbia, or Hi-Lawn. 1 in 1,000. I’m dying (of laughter, not gunshots, which I never ever heard at Union Market of all places).
