There’s no need to get on 123 from this development to get to Langley. It is right off Spring Hill Road.

It’s not as easy or quick as you suggest to add seats to Marshall, which was just renovated about five years ago. There are other building projects in FCPS now. Reassigning this area to Langley makes sense unless you’re just committed to keeping affordable housing out of that school.

It is off Spring Hill Road in Vienna and would feed to Westbriar, Kilmer and Marshall unless rezoned. The Langley boundary could be expanded without creating an attendance island to include this area.

Langley has a larger capacity but fewer students than Marshall, and there are already more kids at Kilmer than Cooper. Langley was expanded to almost 2400 seats so it could supposedly accommodate part of Tysons. This is a place to start.

But Madison is finishing up its renovation/expansion, and Langley has extra room as well. Seems like there are other options here than just expanding Marshall.

Tear downs to put up 6,000 to 8,000 sq ft homes for families that consist of three people?


You haven't been on 123 in a while have you? They aren't building single family homes anymore.


At $1 million, this is Vienna's version of affordable housing.

Umm, I'm fairly confident Route 7 has some traffic (and many lights) as well. As noted above, all 4 HS are 5 miles or less away.


I live in tysons. Spring Hill to Marshall is a much easier drive than Spring Hill to Madison or Mclean or God forbid, Langley.
