Come on, they know that Americans are woefully incapable of fact-checking. The line in that camp is that Biden is inadequate as a leader and they'll throw out anything to show that this is true, even untruths.

1. The aid is already starting to arrive.
2. American media are the best funded in the world and therefore the best fact-checkers. It takes money to fact-check. I say this as a European, who wishes their country's media was as independent and resourceful.
