I really don’t like the wording or intent of your message. However, I personally know families who sent their children to parochial and private schools instead of Cunningham Park ES. I’m sure others share your thinking.


I know the same about every other school in Vienna, as well.

I'm the person who asked, thank you for this explanation, that makes a lot of sense. We are specifically looking at diverse schools that feed to good high schools so CPES has, on paper, looked like a great choice for our mixed race family.

After reading this thread, I tried to craft wording similar to this but couldn’t. You did a much better job. This response encapsulates the community, not only at CPES, but the surrounding area.

Private organizations are allowed to pay to hold events/camps/etc. at schools.
