I fill one of my mixing bowls with warm/hot water and dish soap - dump in a dish towel, wring it out and clean my counters nightly.

Do you prepare food directly on your countertop? I sure don’t.

Why yes, I do. I have granite countertops and can cut on them, put hot things on them - they're great. I sure don't want 409 or some other sprayed chemical going into my food. Any food surface should be clean, no matter if you put food directly on it or not. Your hands touch the chemical counter and then touch the food.

Ooookay. I guess if I didn’t use a chopping board I’d be worried about having a “chemical counter”. But I do, because I’m a normal person, so I don’t worry about it.

I have no idea what my counters are made of. Granite, I think? Wipe down crumbs are needed with just water, and Method in the evening after dinner.

Damp microfiber cloth. Vegetarian household so no meat worries.

+1 but not a 50/50 mix. 1/2 cup vinegar for large spray bottle. The rest is water.

Same. Plus a few drops of peppermint oil.

This is what we do - 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, once a day after finishing the dinner dishes (and as needed during the day when we are cooking a lot).

Do you have granite?

Blueland counter spray, multiple times a day (kids eat at bar stools at the counter). Lysol once every few days.

Winded and paper towel. Almost every day. We do not put raw meat on the counter.

Method all-purpose because I like how it smells, or a little dish soap and warm water. About once a week, or if food safety practice warrants, I disinfect with Arm & Hammer disinfecting wipes.

I used to use an all purpose cleaner, but that wasn't very effective on the counters. I now use a vinegar-based glass cleaner and it works great.

Depends on your countertop material...

I use dish soap and water.

Wipe with water and Swedish dish cloth, use a Clorox wipe type thing after contact with raw meat.

Mrs. Meyers sprays every night after dinner (counters and kitchen table), sometimes mid-day or after breakfast just a wet cloth to remove crumbs.

Only use bleach if I've prepared raw meat and it was possibly off the cutting board.
