I like this idea and I think you're right but I feel so down - and there is nowhere to go (I'm not in the US).
I see friends occasionally but afterwards it's back to being alone and sad.
The above is not OP. Thanks everyone for your kind words. I am considering joining a church, if I can find an ultra-liberal one - think a sense of community and acts of service might be helpful.
