I would ask a lot of questions before coming down if you are not adventurous. Restaurants are open with generators. Very crowded and slow service. But that is everywhere - the slow service. Just be prepared - I'm not complaining. We bought a bunch of groceries just so we didn't have to eat out every meal. Just takes way too long.
As we drove back from Cabo Rojo a good portion of island south of San Juan still has no power.
