Are there similar communities that are very tight knit and walkable in the county or do we give RCES a chance and go private?

There are lots of other schools and areas - Travillah, Stonemill, Dufief - all have strong principals, motivated parents/kids, good communities. But prices there are around $750 and up - mostly up, so there's that.

Good luck finding a SFH in North Potomac for $750!

Or one in Kentlands! $750K is for the larger townhouses.

None of these are really walkable communities? Price isn't the issue. Most Kentlands SFH are pricer than Travillah, Stonemill, Dufief

Yep. I also just saw in a local real estate listing that a Kentlands SFH went for $150K over asking.

There's King Farm. People seem to love College Gardens ES.

King Farm is near a very bad part of Rockville. There are homeless under the overpass, there are shootings and its across from tye County dump. You gotta be kidding.

I can not imagine what you are referring to (aside from being near the transfer station which is quite convenient imo)... King Farm Resident.

I guess it's like living near a hog farm. You get used to the smell after a while.

The big difference is that those communities are generally not walkable. Kentlands/Lakelands is super walkable — especially if you live anywhere near Main Street/Kentlands Market Square.

DC has friends who live in KF, and they walk to the stores all the time. South of Redland seems fine to me.

Nice try pp. The vice principal from that time period was greatly disliked and he was a white dude.

The principal also had an intern this year. I'm wondering how many issues occurred under the intern's watch vs. the principal.
