I opted out of the testing because of the high possibility of false positives in low prevalence settings.

I thought this was going to be about opting out of all the ridiculous academic testing that is about to happen (literally, it's almost ALL testing, and no actual regular classes in MS at least for the entire month of May).

OP here. Give it a rest. My DC has been tested probably more than 5x since school started in the fall. They keep pulling DC out during math, and DC keeps having to go back to the teacher to review missed material.
If they pulled DC out during PE or lunch, I wouldn't care. But this is getting ridiculous. Some kids have never been pulled out for testing, while others keep "winning the lottery". The random testing that they are doing has issues.
We've had covid in our family. DC was also just boosted (as have we all). We have like 10 test kits at home. We're good.
You can get covid again.
I know, but 99.999% of kids will be fine.
I don’t think Covid is preventable unless you take extreme measures.
And you don’t care about the kids that will die from a preventable death. We remember you from the AIDS epidemic when you killed off all the hemophiliacs and didn’t care.
* obviously aside from getting vaccinated and boosted. If you have re-join society even with masking, you can still get it. That’s what I mean by it’s not preventable.

All of them. My son is tested 90% of mondays
My kids too. I figured it’s because not many kids signed up for the program, or there is a financial incentive to test as many kids as possible. We said yes to the test because if my kids get Covid I want to know.
