2941, The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm
The Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, Clarity and Incheon are on my list to try sooner than later.
2941 is sterile atmosphere. Food is ok I guess but I never understood the appeal.
These really expensive restaurants have disappointed us because the food is often no better than many less expensive restaurants. But they do offer decor and service, but the prices are beyond the food quality.

Ada's on the River in Old Town.
Virtue Feed & Grain isn't bad (also in Old Town).
Cedar Knoll, down the Parkway towards Mt. Vernon - if it's nice, you can sit outside overlooking the river.

Are you talking about Carlyles in Shirlington, that used to be called Carlyle Grand?
If so I would have to agree, excellent food there and also at almost every other GAR restaurant.
Probably not in the same class as all the bougie DCUM stratosphere but good eating nevertheless.
