Imagine admitting to being trash like this. No one tips you because you don’t make (below) minimum wage.

Strongly advise you not to order delivery from the same place more than once.

When you don't tip on UberEats your driver barely makes any money. If you're too cheap to tip you should get off your couch and go get your own food. I hope your food is cold when it gets to your house because drivers pass on your order. Cheapskate.


I’m forced to use Uber eats to get my Amex benefit of $15 a month, otherwise I wouldn’t use them. Not tipping!

I always tip zero for Uber eats and food dash. We now have to pay a gas subsidy. Why would I start tipping now? And no, my orders don’t sit around and I get my food on time. I’m in LA. I never get the same driver twice. We already have to pay extra for Uber eats drivers benefits, now gas, why would I choose to tip now?

Life for gig workers is hard right now. If you can tip $10, do it. I've been giving extra generous tips lately (25%+) because I can, and I used to be really miserly about good tips being for good service.

I dont normally do pizza delivery, but I would base the tip on the quality of the service. Driver is fast (within the limits of distance and traffic) and polite: 20%. Driver is slow and/or rude, no more than 10%. Average service: 15%. So, I'd treat it pretty much like a restaurant situation.

Lol, yes. Pizza delivery has had fees for years. We still tip. The driver Kent getting that fee.

I live in SoCal where gas ⛽️ is $6/gal. regular unleaded.
So I would likely tip about $10-15.

I don’t think delivery drivers get paid the IRS federal mileage reimbursement but I may be wrong.

I don't know how it works when the delivery comes directly from the restaurant but if you're using an app, very little of the fees go to the driver.

Delivered food is a luxury that most people really can't afford ( I always pick up my own food). If you can't tip properly you definitely can't afford to have food brought to you like royalty.
