I put them in the kitchen trash. Because I’m taking the trash out anyway. Daily. But I wouldn’t do that at someone else’s house. I’d take it outside.

It's a trash can, that's where trash goes. Your house is not a National Park; she doesn't have to pack in and pack out.

Oh yes, and the people suggesting OP BUY A DIAPER GENIE just for her friend’s use aren’t a trip? GTFO.

I think people are usually pretty polite about trying to dispose of diapers in a way that won’t bother their host (wrapping them up and keeping them, taking them outside etc). I wouldn’t assume ill intent if someone made the wrong move, though. Especially new moms are just learning how all of this is done. If this was a friend I would let it go this time and kindly offer an alternative preemptively next time.

If you’re concerned about matters then the right thing to do would be to offer her a double bag and she can throw it away in the home. Then as the host, you dispose of the trash once she leaves. But I think you’re overthinking she’s a friend this is tiny and not even worth bringing up or getting upset about.

Yeah your friend has bad man wrs. I ways carries a bag with me to dispose of those type of things. I took it to the outside trash. If a friend came to my house I just made sure to dump the larger trash can immediately.

I have walked in people's homes and known immediately they have babies or pets. That is not a pleasant smell. Your friend is rude.

I always asked and I always had dog poop bags to wrap them in first/have something to take with if needed.
