I grew up around goats, and goat cheese and goat milk 100% smell like actual goats. No thanks. I do love goat meat, but prepared the Indian way, and SPICY.

I'll also go on the record as hating feta, and moldy cheese (why is this even a thing?).

When I was growing up, family friends were goat farmers, so we always had plenty of goat products on hand. I can't stand any of it. Goat cheese, goat milk, goat meat - it's all a no for me.

I'd still rather have goat anything than durian. My FIL loooooves it, and I tried it once. Never again.

I love goat cheese. It has a tangy flavor and creamy texture.

Hate truffles, reminds me f feet and dirt.

NP here. I've never had durian but from what I understand it tastes amazing. It's the smell that's nasty.

I like goat cheese. I do NOT like cantaloupe but everyone seems to slurp that yuck up like it's good.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been fooled by this stuff. There I am, minding my own business at some kind of party or dinner. I notice some delicious looking fried artichoke that I promptly put in my mouth, only to find out too late that some life-ruiner decided these fritters needed that special barnyard flavor. Then I spit it out and down an entire glass of wine trying to get the taste out of my mouth. Fun times.

This thread is so funny to me because goat cheese is usually so milk compared to cow cheese.

I've had durian and balut, I'd rather eat goat cheese.

As a veterinarian and super smeller - I can tell you that goat cheese smells like what a live goat smells Iike. I would prefer my food to not smell like a farm animal.

And don't get me started on boar sausage. It smells like porcine smegma.

I can't comment on durian and harkal and honestly I'm ok not knowing what those taste like.

I love soft goat cheese on certain crackers/breads (like rainforest crisps) and with toppings (like figs and honey). I also love drunken goat (also on rainforest crisps- those crackers are so darn good with cheeses).
