Well, they actually tried pretty hard to warn everyone, handed out the details of the virus in early January, shut down entire cities to stem the spread.
No, I don't blame China for welcoming the virus to America. I blame you for spreading it to everyone you know.
Nah, still blame China.
Cats out of the bag. What good does it do now to lay blame at China, even if it's true.

And to me, this is why we're loosening up a little now.
For families like ours, with a high risk member, this is going to be a long haul. It's likely that we'll be very restricted again come May. So, taking a chance to do some things while the numbers are low, like we did last summer, and catch our breath before resuming precautions when the risk goes up, makes sense to me.
I hope they'll approve a fourth shot for our high risk person before this comes.
I think you can get a fourth shot if you are higher risk.
Only if your risk is due to being immunocompromised. There are other reasons people can be at higher risk, such as severe lung disease, or advanced age, and those people aren't yet able to get a fourth shot.
that is incorrect, the guidance says, "not limited to the following conditions..." and lists some. It leaves interpretation up to you.,

Anonymous wrote:Shut up already. I don't care. If we're getting nuked I'm not going to spend these precious final months worrying about covid. I'm done.

Then my kids got vaccinated - then Omicron. They all are fully vaxxed and got omicron (mild to no symptoms). So I'm going to have a little time to feel relaxed here.
But basically I feel like if we can't be vaccinated and not get it - then there's nothing else I can do because I'm not willing to stay home any more, so it is what it is.
This is the break right now. Take advantage of it. Go out.

Feel free to skip these posts if they bother you so much. The last time I checked, the flu wasn't a big threat outside of the winter months. The same cannot be said for COVID, so it's worth keeping an eye on where things are throughout the world.
+1 I don't get this. I skip over posts that I'm not interested in 🤷♀️

Anonymous wrote:I read yesterday that something like 45% of Americans got omicron in December-February. I wonder if that will contribute to keeping the case numbers lower than previous waves.
